Default Mig welds let me know what you think

Here are some Mig welds that I have done. I have practiced a little but not a whole lot with this process so I thought I would lay a bead and see what you guys think.

This is with 11ga carbon steel and unimix gas. 25% Co2 75% Argon
Machine was Hobart Handler 140(110v) .030 wire. Speed at 35-40 and V set at 3

On with the pics.

The weld.

Back side/Penitration.

Thanks for the feedback and looking.

Looks ok, just tall and narrow. Your bead is consistent ,so you were comfy.
I would suggest a reduction in wire, and a slight increase in heat. Maybe try 35 wire speed, and Volts set to 4.
Did you push the puddle, or pull? It looks like a pull, amybe too much inclination???
Try it again, but use those settings, and make the weld as close to 90 degrees to the plate as possible.
Good luck.

Nice looking welds man... Looks like Your whipping the puddle quite a bit... in this case I wouldnt Worry about the whip as much as a U shaped filler method... You'll still have the roll of dimes but not the height.... Throw a little more heat in there and maybe just a hair of speed and you'll be gold.

Same as I use. Great results. I would never consider using anything else unless spray welding.
Metalcore is a higher heat and deposition wire. Not that great for hobbyists, but great for structural. It runs beautiful though, you are right.
