Q logic boxes. Are they any good?
I'm tring to put together a system in my car. I going to use a single MTX 12" 7500 series dvc sub. now i'm looking for a box to put it in. Are the q logic boxes any good? should I go ported or sealed?
its going into a 93 acura integra hatchback.

what kind of music do you listen to? ported boxes give a more "boomy" sound while sealed are "tighter." qlogic is a decent product, but are you willing to throw down 70+ dollars for one? you can build your own for cheaper if you are handy with wood.
I agree with the above poster on box design. A sealed box is going to (usually) have a tighter response, but require more power. A vented/ported enclosure will seem to be a bit louder. I have a ported enclosure, but it's a rare design that sounds as clean as a sealed. Mine's also in a trunk. For my hatchback, I have a sealed for the nice tight sound. (Keep in mind that with a ported, you'll likely need to set the subsonic filter on the amp).
what type of box would you reccomend for two 12" alpine type E's in a crx? btw plan on dynamating most of the rear interior if that makes a diff.
Again, it depends on what sound you're trying to achieve. If you're looking to impress people around you, go with a vented encl. If you have sufficient power and you're looking for SQ, go with a sealed. 2 - 12" are going to provide more than enough low end for the CRX.
