Wheel weights
I have some 14in old school enkei wheels with a lip on my EK with grs brakes. The wheel weight (tapeon) is rubbing the caliper and over the time the weight falls off, can i use a metal weight(snap-on..I think its called staic balnce) thats goes on the outside on my rim?

yea you can, but see if you can match balance the rim and tire assembly if you have a balancer that will show you a visual runout of both... the one we have at our shop allows you to see the physical runout of both the rim and the tire... if you do that it will limit the amount of weight on the rim...
you mean a piece of crap road force machine. instead of the new sonar balancer which is a much better balancer...the road force machine is not acceptable by the tire manufactures for adj.

that remark was for shprelude00.. do you have tape weight's on there or the clip on style??? I wouldn't grind the caliper personally. I have done it to customer's car upon there request but think it's stupid...but each to there own.

to answer the question on the kind of balancer we have im not sure that it matters to answer this kid's question, but what your talking about thats so crappy is the old school road force balancer with the big ole drum on it...the one we have is actually says 'road force harmonic', but im not sure if thats what you meant by sonar or what? (It gives all runouts, done by laser)
if that is the only way to avoid grinding the caliper then i would do it or get different wheels...a static balance forcrs the weight from both sides to one plain and can give you a vibration problem's but if that helps you from grinding then i would do it....see if your shop can do an alloy balance with a tack on weight and a tape weight first if not then do a static balance
