What is a b18c3?

does anyone know what car this engine came off of and the specs? thanks

The C3 I believe was a GSR motor. If my memory serves me correctly I might have even seen the C3 mated to an automatic tranny.

the C3 was used in the JDM market for cars with auto boxes, had a little extra power to help compensate for the torque converter

eh... i'm sure the b18c3 is a usdm type r motor...
and the jdm type r motor is a b18c5....
a gsr is a b18c1

B18C jdm R or Si-R/GSR
B18C1 USDM GSR

just for reference (if anyone is curious)

The b18c3 is a Asia-spec GSR motor. My importer from Japan used to get some now and again. He told me that they ended up being extras and just used/sold them in Japan.

They have nothing to do with what transmission.
