Default Ahh I love maintenance during the holidays

This has been a garbage month for dumping money into my R..

First it starts with my alignment issues, I knew I had problems but it just wore a 1/4 inch strip on the very very inside and blew out my front/right tire.

No big deal, slapped on a donut and went home and ordered 2 new 215/40/16 T1R's..

2nd day air still meant I had to go to work on it (i sold my DD in November and was going to buy something decent in cash)..

Drove home and the front/left tire did the SAME THING... so at this point i'm livid, even though it's out of my own stupidity and procrastinating on the alignment.

I took the day off for my birthday and got my wheel repaired that I damaged when the first blowout happened, got the new stuff put on the front, drove up to Raleigh and picked up a Skunk2 pro front camber kit and had them just handle the alignment then and there so this wouldn't be an issue again. Sucks I had to pay $120 for labor for a part that is cake to install but I wasn't going to drive an hour home just to put it on.

After that everything is great, driving around that day till I realized they forgot to put one of my lugs back on.. I politely ask them to look for it to save me from buying a whole new set and they pretty much gave me the "yeah whatever, we'll look" after I just had a $501 bill there (eat **** Phantasm/Raleigh, NC). Just a lugnut though, nothing to get bent out of shape about.

So tuesday I noticed that the first 4 inches of my clutch pedal was free air pretty much and didn't get any action till it about hit the floor, I knew the clutch was on the deathbed no matter how much I baby it. I figured I could roll on it and take care of it after I got back from NY for the holidays (leaving tomorrow).

So we're out last night, wings and karaokee and ended up moving the get together to the house and this smoooookkkking hot cuban girl was like "steeeeeeeveeee I loveeeee your car sooooo much, c'mon let me drive it"

my head said "are you f'ing serious??" but my mouth uttered out "alright lets go" (complete pathetic loser), I was hammered and weak, not really sure why I got careless but she has a 5spd jetta so I figured it'd be fine.

Yeah, no.... after a few times of her hitting vtec and some bad shifts (never grinded thank god) killed the rest of it and it went as it was getting pulled up the driveway gutter ramp in 1st... thank god it happened there. So I bite my lip and order a ACT 6 puck, i'm going to NY tomorrow so my R will even be dead when I return, lucky me. I'm so glad I sold my 2005 daily driver.

On the plus side
- Christmas, expletive yeah
- I'll be able to anihilate my new clutch
- Car drives straight as hell
- New 2001 OEM floor mats come in today
- Separated with Honorable Discharge from the Air Force this morning (well started terminal leave)... so I hate my life as much as I love it, still not bitter.

Sorry for the long useless/boring post but I had to vent on spending roughly $1600 on my ITR this month and it's still as slow as it ever was. Not to sound like a whineass because there's at least a weekly post on a stolen R and i'm bitching about parts, but I just had to vent.

Yeah it's a surreal feeling, it's a lifestyle that owns your *** 247 then one day it's just over? no way! Theres so much good going on in my life just the R is killing it.

I had a nice little nestegg i was sitting on to get a 98ish or so EX and it just keeps getting tapped into to fix this *****.

Definitely not getting the $350 for Expo 7 now, sorry... I appreciate the hard work everybody has put into organizing all of them but i'll have to pull back my registration for somebody else, hopefully i'll make it as a visitor.

Dude, I feel for you.. I have a dead alternator in my R waiting to be replaced. I know, not nearly as bad as your case but, tell you what... why don't you come on over to Puerto Rico this weekend and help me replace my R's alternator .. we can light up the BBQ and put away some Corona's while we're at it

Seriously though, thanks a lot for sharing with us .. now I'll feel better when I'm pulling away half my motor just to replace the alternator !!

Happy Holidays dude !!

Good choice.

I was about to start collecting parts to rebuild my motor and install a clutch and my girl's 'Teg started acting up. So about $300 is going toward that.

I caught some major anxiety about having a 6 puck in there, I tried to cancel it but it was too late.

On the brightside JHP has ACT Street Disc Kit/Toda Flywheel for $699

So...did you hit it?
At least after you spend all the money it will run like a champ! Maybe I should buy the s2 camber kit and install before something similar happens to me!

Ahh details, not gonna happen.

however, the silver lining I had a six month old check for $1200 sitting in my dresser that I forgot about that I never cashed because the client was broke, I ran into him when I was eating lunch today and he goes "you can cash that check now" I completely forgot about it so it was like hitting the lottery.

stoked.

^ Realize this is the internet. And realize that not all people need to flaunt their personal encounters with girls to complete strangers to make themselves feel good.

It's always the ones that talk about it the least, that get the most. Because it's nothing to them, it's not a big deal, they're used to it. They don't get some ***, and automatically sign on Honda-Tech and tell the entire story of the night leading up to their 30 second sexual encounter.

By the way, I gotcha guys, haha. I have no idea who that girl is, the whole sex change thing's a joke. Just like to keep you guys on your toes.
