!HELP!- Attempted car theft, ignition jacked - need help/info on ignition cylinder
Hey fella's. Someone broke into my 91 Integra LS last night, couldn't find a spare key, and tried to use a screw driver to start my car. They were unsuccessful, and only made off with $30 of misc items, but I am unable to start my car.
I need a new ignition cylinder. I'm in Fullerton, CA in the OC. The local Ecology Auto Parts (Sante Fe Springs) has a 94 Integra, but I'm not sure that ignition would work with my 91. PartsAmerica.com has the part for $240 but it doesn't even SHIP for a week. I commute to work every day.
Any help/ideas are welcome. I'm going to be hitting the phones and wrecking yards today.
Thanks in advance.

call jay's auto wrecking im pretty sure he has it (626)303-3693. he's by irwindale speedway or call YLM (626) 303-0877.
THANKS!
I'm wondering. My manual says to put the key in the #1 position, take out this little screw, and push on a pin and the ignition comes out. What if your key won't turn? Will the ignition still come out?

From: 99 probs but a stolen car aint 1, ca, cerritos/fullerton
dam fullerton, I just caught 2 dicks in my da the other day. And its just a work car on rims
Depending on bad it is you might have to replace the whole thing or have the other unit drilled out. And its a bitch on a da. I swapped my dc alot because of this. Glad the other two have a garage

it was stuck in the lock position even though the steering wheel wasn't locked, just jacked up from the screwdriver, once I got it loose it worked. The inside of the ignition seems fine - phew.
