Default Tuning a TSX

I've had this in the TSX section and and after 53 looks and no replies, I guess this is where I should have posted this in the first place. I already called Inline Pro and he didn't know, saying that they don't have too many TSX's rolling in there. I don't have a TSX yet but it's in the near future. So if I had a TSX and wanted to put a RSX/K20 head and TB on it and H/I/E for starters, I know the only way to tune it would be with K-pro. Know on the other note I know I heard somewhere that if you use K-pro on a TSX your A/C, speedo, and something else won't work . Is this TURE???? Can someone school me on the in's and out's of tuning a TSX.

Thanks
Alex

To my knowledge the only thing available for the TSX is a reflash. Contact the folks at Hondata for a more detailed explanation.

so if someone comes in with a k24 eg they can only g et a reflash? there has to be a k-pro for the tsx.

K24 in an EG is not a TSX. We tune those bad boys from time to time. The TSX ECU controls more than just the engine management. I am sure that you could install a Kpro ECU into a TSX, wired properly. I suspect that you would lose control of some peripheral electronics and some functionality of various sub-systems. That's why I suggest talking to Doug or Derek at Hondata-they have a great deal of experience with the TSX, as well as other later model Honda/Acura vehicles.

The K24 swapped EG doesn't have Drive-By-Wire to worry about, either.

I'm almost positive the only option for the TSX is the reflash from Hondata.

The K-Pro doesn't have the ability to control everything having to do with the TSX car itself.

EDIT: b19coupe chimed in seconds before me!

The TSX ecu cannot be Kproed the same way as the 2002-2004 rsx type s ECUs.

On the jdm version of the TSX, the accord euro R, it uses a regular cable and not electronic throttle control. On the JDM tsx which by the way has a 2Liter engine and not a 2.4, you can run K pro with custom wiring.

So it can work but from what I understand, you have to use 2 ECUs. From the K pro, you control the engine and from the stock ECU, you control the rest of the things. Needless to say that you are going to need both manuals to make this work.

This is what they used to connect the 2 ecus etc...

Now if you wanted to go all crazy on a US spec TSX and swap a nice k24a, you could get it to run by using the same wiring we use on a k swapped EGs... By getting the gauges and A/C to work would require some custom work. If it wasn;t a bitch to do, I am sure hondata would have a product out there to take care of the wiring conversion.. not to mention that 99% of TSX owners are not into tuning

i work for a GAKC team, i-motoracing.com And just ran the Kpro, but it didn't just plug into the tsx harness and the TSX engine harness can't be used when you run a cable throttle body.

It wasn't fun trying to figure stuff out. Nikos can you PM me some more info on that harness... thanks
