some 1 told me i should use it on my stock gsr....is that bad?

uh....try more like 5w30 for a stock/lightly modded gsr.

not only stock and lightly modded, but i always heard that 5w30 works just fine on a turbo'd motor.

i would; 10-30 or 5-30 would work. owner's manual calls for 5w30, 15w50 is quite a ways off.

5w-30! not sure if you actually need that kind though. I once added the wrong oil to my car (stupid), but i drained it right away and put in the right kind.

The owner's manual and service manual specify that 5W30 is preferred at all temperatures.

By "added", if you mean that you had 5W30 (or 10W30, which is also acceptable at temperatures above freezing) and you only added, say, a quart of 15W50, then it's probably still close enough to the recommended viscosity that you don't need to drain it. But if you did an entire oil change with 15W50, that's a different story.
