DB8 Type R For sale is it REAL?
Does anyone know if this car is legit a real JDM type r my friend doesnt believe me that it is because its a four door and its four lug but i told him that they made the four door version in japan and the four lug is of an older spec type r can anyone confirm that this is true

Yep quite common in JDM land. As you said the DB8 four door Type R shares the running gear with the 96 JDM model DC2 hence the four lug wheels and continued that way all the way up to the last ones in 2000. AFAIR they're slightly longer too. Nice car. Practical as well. You can have the pleasure of deafening back seat passengers with slightly more headroom than the DC2
It's the real deal. Actually this DB8R has popped up for sale a few times. HT member: "turboeh6" purchased this back in July. Here's my old thread on this R. He mentions that it did have a side impact in it's history, so if anyone is interested they should check out the repairs in detail. Hope she goes to a good home

This is a really good description.
It's like an optical illusion looking at a 4-door after spending so much time obsessing over our CW 2-door models.
It's a '97 to boot.

car has some pretty extensive crash damage that was repaired (check the inner right rear quarter panel which was replaced, under-carriage in the rear, and front frame right frame rail). i had some high res pics from the former owner in FL. i think the car was sold for like $12k or something several months ago.

im sure enough to say that 1996-1997 JDM integra TYPE-R's were 4-lug, it was later changed to 5-lug when the interior came with the black with red stitching, looks legit to me
i think that car is nicer then the new evos as being a sedan..i kinda like it more then the regular dc2 itr

at least part of what you said was true, about 96-97 JDM ITR's being 4x114.3, then 98+ being 5x114.3, but the aprt about the black seats with red stitching is not true. Black or Red seats were available starting in 96. My 97 DB8 ITR has black recaros standard.
