Default Best Oil?

What is the preference on oil? Like what brand and weight and all that good stuff, Synthetic vs. non-synthetic?

I buy:

Synthetic because it's more resistant to breakdown when hot and it flows better when cold.

5W30 because that's the preferred viscosity at all temperatures according to the owner's manual and service manual.

Pennzoil (Pennzoil Platinum is their synthetic) because it's less expensive, especially since they sell it at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart, and since they often have rebate offers.

Royal Purple. Comes full synthetic. 10w30 during warm seasons and in colder seasons use 5w30.

Mobil 1 is good oil too, doesn't cost a much as Royal Purple, but ya get what you pay for.

And Pep Boys carries both Royal Purple and Mobile 1. I can't always find the 10w30, and sometimes have to settle for 5w30. I live in LA, our "cold" isn't. 10w30 flows just fine at the "freezing" 65 degrees it gets down to here.
