Using afterburner to spool up turbo
Does anyone have any experience with injecting fuel into the collector to spool the turbo up ultra quick? I know rally cars have used this as well as tractor pullers, I am sure it just kills turbine wheels but does anyone have some experience trying this?
Uhh... it's called anit-lag. You essentially add a bunch of fuel, then retard the ignition timing so the combustion happens closer to the manifold.
Many have used it, especially with S300 being capable. There's a thread on here if you search a bit.

what he said, make sure you have a good turbo like a GT BB or something, i guess the S series can take it too?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I would agree on this. You really need something that has a strong turbine shaft to be able to take that kind of abuse. Also remember that your manifold and turbine housing have to be able to take the punishment. I would love to see a cheap ebay manifold after someone had beat the crap out of it with some anti-lag :D

I set it up and tried it on my ems... works great. But i dont recommend it. Normal 2 step is a little rough with about 10psi, but with the antilag i easily made 15psi on the line... and its very smooth... However i did a lot of research about antilag. It will break your stuff. Turbine wheels, turbine housing, and turbo manifolds will get damaged from using antilag. Its only recommended for straight up race cars, or people who can afford to buy new turbos every week.

What about using compressed air in order to spool up the turbo ?
A valve opens when power is needed (kickdown) and spins that sucker right up.
20% O2 in air, so maybe that will go "boom" if there is fuel in the exhaust..
