form function preload???
im aware of other brands on how to preload the spring..
I have a set of form function ver/type 1 (I guess)
usually you back the top nut to the end of the damper shaft
run the spring and lower collars up to the top and when you set the car down the shaft moves up and you tighten the top nut down...preload
ok the top nut on the form functions doesnt move and i dont want to use air on them cause it will void the warranty...any suggestions on how to preload them or if I have to?

you dont want to set the car down on anything... if you want to pre load them. hence the saying "preload"
when you set the car down on them... it is a load.
with the coilovers off of the car... turn the plates until you have no play in the springs... turn as accordingly to your own specs.

That's not the correct way to preload the spring; in fact, there's no reason to do that at all.
Install your coilovers as they are, don't fuss with the 19mm nut, and get the car up on jackstands so the suspension is at full droop. If you have a gap between the spring and the upper mount and the spring perch, simply turn the spring perch upwards till the gap is gone, and you don't have any more up-down play in the spring. Then you're done, and you still have your warranty.

then when I set the car down tighten the 19 down right...the way ive done it before (mainly with omnis) ive backed the nut up to the top of the shaft first.....so all the shock stroke will be there once I set the car down and after i ran the spring perch to the top.....
