Default closest to OEM valves (more head help)

okay... sorry to make another stupid noob thread but I suck.

replacing my valves (not looking for power or performance just want my car to run)
I am looking at supertech valves (OEM are ******* expensive), my head is completely stock so I need
28mm valves for the exhaust
33mm valves for the intake
right?

Do I want flat or dish? I assume dish because flat causes higher compression and i don't think I need that.

Should I also buy knew valve seals guides seats? or can they be re-used?

also...

if you have any suggestions on trustworthy sites to order these parts from let me know please.

You want dished valves then. I might rock out w/ the ferrea 6k series. They are about $15 each from nopionline.com I would check the guides (ie, put a valve in and wiggle it side to side, measure the play, look it up in the FSM and compare to spec). Valves seals are always a good thing to replace while the head is apart and the seats should be fine, but its recommended that you resurface them to get 100% seal w/ the new valves. Over time the seats get a pitting/carbon buildup that doesnt allow them to seal 100%, thus I would take it to a shop and let them pressure check it and grind them if needed. BTW, why dont you buy a used set of valves? I sold a head w/ valves and alot of misc stuff for $120 the other day.....given it had no cam caps and was pretty beat.

I don't know... I guess I just figured I might as well buy new ones.
maybe i'll look for some used ones.
I'll buy seals and guides too.

Guides get pricey to replace. I got some non-vtec valves i'd let go for 20+shipping if you are interested, but I don't have them on hand for a month or so.

More specific about what? He needs new valves and doesnt want to pay $360 for OEMs when he can buy aftermarket ones for $250. He wanted to know the stock size and dish.....made sense to I.
