if i had a bad o2 sensor would my check engine light be on?

 

I'm not sure if '78 Accord even has a sensor. Oh wait... You didn't say what year.

Sorta kidding, but over the years Honda has gradually used more & more sophistication about the ECU being able to detect bad sensors.
