Default What Exhaust to Get???

Alright so Im gonna get an exhaust for my Si next. I have Injen Cold Air and DC Race Header on stock exhaust and I need to know which exhaust I should get that will minimize the "raspyness". Just want a nice strong sound. The last thing I want is a fart pipe. Any recommendations???

Alot of exhaust for the Si do not sound raspy. Comptech, Skunk2, Greddy and Tanabe all have a great sound without being too loud as well. However, when you are on the gas, you will hear it. Especially with the intake and header. I do know that Greddy fits good with the DCRH.

Yeah i know, Im just a little concerned cause of the last car I had. It was an '03 V6 Tiburon and I put Injen cold air and Greddy Evo II exhaust on it (no header yet). The exhaust sounded great. Real deep and no raspyness at all. Then I put the Race header on afterwards and it sounded TOTALLY different. Real high pitch and just nasty overall. Maybe it was the Greddy/DC combo or just the car. But I don't want that again. Right now my car sounds good with the stock exhaust. Should I just get the DC exhaust, or something else??

It's amazing what your car can do and sound like when it can breathe better. I wouldn't go with DC exhaust.

The exhuast noise pretty much depends how big the piping is.

Hi Si 4 Life, I'm curious to why you say don't go with DC exhaust... what's wrong with the DC exhaust?

Because people have issues with there race headers falling apart and leaking and there exhaust falling apart they are not putting out top notch stuff currenty much better choices out there besides DC.

Yeah i've pretty much decided to avoid anything related to DC now. So far the header is behaving for me, but i can't tell how long that will last. Hopefully I got a good batch AFTER they fixed the flex-pipe cracking issue. But for exhaust i'm gonna go with the Greddy EVOII most likely. Unless something else comes out that tickles my fancy.

I have been leaning towards the Apexi WS2 exhaust, near stock look. Also they are supposed to be relatively quite.

Hey man, I would go with the Skunk2 exhaust. I have heard it first hand and it sounds really good. I also believe it adds a bite more power than other systems.

Anyone try contacting KTeller to see if he has an exhaust for the Si? I've heard nothing but great things about his systems. My room mate has one on his STi, and that this is perfect! Stock looking tip, though you can choose which muffler you use as well as the length/type of resonator - both will affect the sound. Mild or stainless are also options. Needless to say the system sounds great.
