The stock radio/cd player in my car no longer shuts off automatically even if I remove the key from the ignition. This first started out as an intermittent problem, but now happens all the time. It's somewhat annoying but I'm more curious about the source of the problem. I did notice it started happening some time after I disabled the power antenna by disengaging the harness at the base of the antenna. I'm assuming it's related to this. Any thoughts?

 

I dont think it would be the cause but plug it back in and see if it shuts off. My guess is its something electrical behind the unit.

 

sounds like somehow the remote wire got disconnected maybe really loose in the harness, (the end that plugs into your deck) check that out.
