* RADIO * How to run some diags on your stock HU! (Not Navi)
Luckily for me, my uncle works for Clarion, who makes the OEM Honda HU.
Here's some nice tips for when something is going wrong and you want to know what you can do about it.
After the car is on, and the radio is on, hit "1" + "6" and then while holding the two in simultaneously, hit "Pwr." Your radio will be in diagnostics mode. Some things you can do in diag mode - check firmware for your HU, there are always updates, I will ask him as to what we can do about upgrading the firmware if there are errors... and then there's the HU reset.
After you're in diag mode, to reset your HU, simply hit "6" + "scan." This clears all radio presets, and all presets for your audio levels and everything. I don't know if this info is in the manuals anywhere, but here you go HT!

if your firmware is bad (MP3/WMA playback freezes, mode changes freeze, sound settings don't save, etc.), you can check the version and request Honda for a reflash. the first of the '06 Si HU's had overheating problems. this is all information straight from Clarion!
