Just some pictures/information from a private testing session at MSR Houston...
My brother and I helped out corner working yesterday and today at MSR and instead of the expected Champ Cars these are what we were dealing with:

I was so dissapointed were weren't going to be working the Champ Cars...
Weather was not good both days; it was cool and damp with dense fog and afternoon downpours, but after the downpours there was no more rain (but lots of water on track.) So in addition to the Jet engine blower, to help dry out racing line all the corner workers did road train duty at a brisk pace for 6-7 laps....Weeeee!
I believe every one of the Ferrari team cars went off the track at least once... and the reason the yellow formula car's front wing looks like it does is because it launched several feet in the air after getting air-born off turn 4 curbing (damaging the front wing, bodywork, and rear right suspension and littering the track with some debris). The Challenge F430's were about 10 seconds faster than the Challenge 360 but didn't pound you with sound decibels like the 360 did (the Challenge F430 are street car quiet nearly). The Challenge F430 just carve the corners so much better than the Challenge 360 and absolutely obliterates it in straightline speed, such a treat to watch! The FIA 575 GT was perfect sound wise(not too loud and with that sweet racing V12 note and distintive backfires and exhaust burbles...) and a few seconds quicker than the F430's. I have audio capture of all (plus a Mazda powered formula racer with really winey turbine sounding transmission) that I will be getting onto the computer.
Champ Cars are cool, but not Ferrari GT racecar cool!

those 575M cars are gorgeous...The shriek of the 360 Challenge cars is one of many things i enjoy about going to the 24 Hours of Daytona
I got video...well not really, but how about an audio slideshow presentation...
