Transmission problems
Wassup everybody. I have a 92 Honda Accord EX 2 door coupe, 2.2 single cam engine, automatic transmission. I had the car for 6 years now and haven't had any major problems with it until now. The problem I am having is the transmission will slip and shift rough as soon as the engine reaches normal operating tempature. When the engine is cold, the car runs fine and shifts smoothly. No warning lights come on, just that when the transmission is slipping, the D4 light on the instrument panel dims, not flash or hold. Tempature gauge shows no overheating. I already replaced the radiator and the problem is still there. Then I replaced the thermostat and the problem got worse. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
I am not a trained mechanic ... hell I ain't even a mechanic but if your experiencing issues related to temperature you might be experiencing issues related to viscosity. Check your fluid and see if you might want to top it off or add a treatment. It might be thinning out from the heat.
Again ... not a mechanic.
Again ... not a mechanic.
