yeah i know it doesnt sound like bad but since it was cold metal against metal? im not those hard modders that strip the car and swap engines , if it was running or it was warm i'd be less worried especially since its my first car.
so then the limiter oviously is lower due to non si but 4k is not even close to where the limiter is , is it? dont know if it matters but its a auto
The limiter on the FG1 is 6800 or so. You have absolutely nothing to be worried about. You could sit there and bounce off the rev limiter for 15 seconds or more and nothing would happen... but I don't recommend it.
The limiter is there for a reason. It's when you go beyond the limiter... that's when things get interesting

cold metal to metal yes as in oil hasnt had enough time to travel and no i didnt drive it i just reved it in parked when it was only 2 mins of start up and im those kind of people that wait til your car is 5 mins warm or the bleeps are high enough once that is done then im SCARELESS of my driving but before that i babe it .... its been a family tridition to wait for the car to warm up so thats why im consern thanks everyone for replying

Just need some periods to determine when a new sentence starts. That's all. Just giving you a hard time.
Also, I agree with what everyone else is posting, your car is fine.

That's me, but I wasn't scared because as soon as it hits I shift. Granted I do not intend to even hit the limiter though. Enjoy the hell out of your car, it is a great one.

i only ready about half the replies. So if im repeating info or not understanding something correctly just ignore me.
What you probably did is hit the rev limiter for when you are sitting still... I would imagine that the *X models do not share the same 5,500 rev limiter that the Si does when sitting still. Either way, if you let it run for 30 seconds there would have been enough lubrication to prevent any damage from just 4k rpm for that short a period. I cranked my car up and revved it to 4 for a couple minutes just to warm it up for a quick drive with my prelude buddy.
