Clutches are usually cheaper, labor is the bad part. It's a little on the high side and if he didn't need to replace master and slave cylinder he could of just did it to make some extra $$.

are those OEM part?

i can't recall the last time the master cylinder and slave cylinder both goes back at the sametime. I am surprise he/she didn't check the clutch pedal to avoid checking what is really wrong.

i have the same car defcom, if you wanna save yourself some cash and you think your mechanically inclined, do the slave and master cylinders yourself, (make sure you get OEM) and if those parts aren't OEM don't do it. You can also go to majestic honda.com and buy those parts for cheap. anyway it's your choice good luck.

I buy non OEM parts all the time and have no problem with it. I guess in some cases like headgaskets, OEM would be more of a preferable choice, but I've had no problems with NEW direct aftermarket replacement parts.
