integra muffler????fix ticket...
I have a 95 integra LS and i need to put on a oem muffler for a fix ticket...I was wondering which oem muffler has the best performance that can go on a integra. I came up a RSX muffler, which I think is great on perfomance for oem...anybody have any information let me know....thanks
ITR or a "muffler," gut the muffler so it still looks like one, but run a straight pipe through, so it's not a chambered muffler or even really a muffler, but it looks like one.

I was pulled over for speeding once, and recieved a fix-it ticket for my exhaust. I ended up going with an oem itr exhaust and i have had it on for about 6 months. For daily driving i love it, but when i start to get serious about building my motor, then i'll start thinking about getting another performance based exhaust.

As long as your header is smog legal and you have the required stock catalytic, then any exhaust you use after that is legal as long as it is under the federally required 92 db. Even crazy California hasn't gone above and beyond that law yet.
However, cops certainly have been known to be ignorant of the law, and have issued tickets for legal exhausts. Ask SRT4 owners, as they seem to regularly get exhaust tickets for stock exhausts.

Try living in VA. Any aftermarket exhaust that isn't OEM is illegal.

heh yeah, since SRT4's didn't have any mufflers on the stock exhaust. It relied on the turbo alone to keep the sound below the legal limit. Pretty ballsy of Daimler-Chrysler to sell a car like that IMHO.

Are you serious, never heard of that. I pulled out at night and rapped thru two gears to redline on my straight-thru magnaflow exhaust, only to find myself side-by-side to a sheriffs blazer. I was under the speed limit, but he didn't seem to mind the sweet sound, lol.
