What's with all the one word topic titles in this forum - can't you people be a little more descriptive?

Yeah! Be creative. Maybe somthing like "Need Help!" or "Quick Question".

Really, please attempt to at least follow this suggestion...

05-06 are the best imo. the body work, headlights, taillights, plus the k20z1 make them much better. 02-04 are more affordable, as are most of the i/h/e/kpro/etc, but i think its worth it to get an 05-06.

i dont have the figures, but i'm sure the 02-04 and 05-06 are nearly identical in weight. 05-06 have the k20z1, which made 210 hp in the 05 and 201 hp in 06 (due to the new method in measuring hp). 02-04 with the k20a2 made 200 hp.

The 02-04 is about 80 lbs lighter than the 05-06.

02-04 because the k-pro is an easy swap, cheaper, and all the 05+ upgrades are modest. Better aftermarket ones can be bought, like cams, headers, exhaust.
Cheaper,more available.
05+ have better colour availability.
They are also lighter yes.

your theory is that 02-04 is better because k-pro is cheaper??
by what 300-400 bucks
upgrading cams already cost more than that
then add nicer seats, thicker sway bars, larger exhaust comes stock
upgrading exhaust and raceheader cost the same for both cars seeing how they are the exact same

it depends on what you like. i like the "dimples" on my head/tail lights.
First gen seats feels stiffer and and squeez you in better.
The gauges are slightly diff. but i like the first gen's more.
I have a Mugen front sway bar on mine and i didnt have to take my stock off, it kind of sits in front of it.
couldnt do that with 05+

Hondata still hasn't got the 05+ perfected, you lose some features etc.
It's not 3-400.
The exhaust etc. is the same cost, so why pay more for something you will replace.
If you are talking stock, then 05+ if you like the looks.
If you are going to mod heavily, 02-04.
If you will upgrade cams,exhaust,raceheader,k-pro,pullies,etc., then why pay for slightly better parts and more weight?
Unless you like the looks, the 02-04 will be faster for less money.

this is easy
IMO, 02-04 is better base for the price (i also own one so im somewhat biased )

05+ have higher power because of better flowing exhaust mani, exhaust, and intake
also due to more aggressive cams

if you think about it, when you do basic bolt ons the I/H/E negates all the improved stock components
only thing left is the cams
also the FD is shorter but that means worse gas mileage

Aestetically, 02 chassis with no amber in the taillights, with a 05 front end. expletive yeah. And some sort of aftermarket bumper/lip on the back.

i've owned both styles, i enjoy my 06 much better i think it looks a hell of a lot more aggressive. the lights and bumpers are cut shaper and look meaner. the 02-04's are rounder and i think they are a little feminin IMO

05/06 FTW

</TD></TR></TABLE>the additional 150 is because of the harness
you also need to purchase an 02-04 ecu and o2 sensor to make it work

i have k-pro on my 06, i know how much i've paid

also, how does the 05-06 loose any features from hondata
beside alittle glitch in the cruise control

try to stay away from the 02's if you can... the tranny's have a defect were the 2nd and 4th gear "gates" are really close together and its easy to accidently down shift when your trying to up shift and your motor will go boom..i had to learn this the hard way.
