scratched pistons, reusable?
i have some arias pistons that are scratched from rubbing against the cylinder walls. i was wondering if they are reusable... its only scratched under the rings on the intake side. i'll show some pix later but just wondering if anyone has reused pistons as so.
but they are only under the piston rings. i don't think they will effect anything since the rings will seal. the scratches looks exactly like the scratches shown here.

That wear is on the thrust side of the piston, yes? It looks like the piston had siezed because it was overheated. When they overheat they expand and push against the cylinder wall (meaning less clearance). You run the risk of tearing up the cylinder walls and the piston quickly. Also pistons can be damaged once they are overheated.
