DC JDM Header - Made in Japan or US?
so why are they still "JDM" ?? heh...

Actually, they have CTR and ATR headers also including new exhaust sys. only made for Japanese. Though there probably still being made in the US, which is probably the reason for the just under 700 USD header pricing in Japan is from. I'm guessing if they where made in Japan the price would drop more or atleast have better quality.
does dc make a 2.5 cat back exhaust? i have always wondered that..
"We use the 2 1/4 inch piping."
so it sound like they don't
Are you going to buy the DC JDM? It looked like **** when installed compared to how it looked new. The quality is not as good as I expected. The OEM JDM is much better quality!!! But no bling bling....
Mine is already on order, and it will be hidden (more on that when I sort it) so I'm not worried about how it looks, the inner size of the collector looks bigger than the Honda JDM from pictures I have seen which swayed me towards it but I didn't want to pay the sort of prices MUGAN and SPOON want for theirs
How are you going to hide it?
The JDM collector has a anti reversion chamber, that's why the inner diameter is smaller. But it's there for a purpose. But your testpipe has to be 65 mm OD to let it work... BTW. The DC has a 63 mm collector and the JDM 65 mm.
The Honda OEM header costs 400 USD.

I have a car-sound cat to go on the same time as the header.
I plan to use/modify the standard UK heat shield to cover the header, it may involve the fabrication of a couple of brackets, the UK header shield has the same sort of mounting as the JDM one, not sure what the US one is like.
At the moment I am having trouble with the UK supplier (lots of excuses why it's taking so long to arrive, and I may end up looking elsewhere for another one if it continues
I have looked at the following from Japan.
http://www.speedinc.co.jp/exaust.htm I can get it for around 70,000 Yen delivered through a place in Japan.

The inner tube is about 60mm OD. I believe that double welding has a function, so I left it like this. Maybe that's the reason why the Dyno graph is smoother than the DC's. That marginally higher hp could be caused by the bumpy dyno graph of the DC or due to the bigger primaries (44mm -> 45mm) or the flanges.
I've also tried to use the Euro heatshield on the JDM header. But it's too different. Two primaries of the JDM header are going straight down. And the Euro heatshield is much smaller....
That's a Vision R header. Too expensive.

You can even buy the JDM Honda header at your dealer. But kinda expensive. About 875 Euros.
