Rear Calliper Question. Ep3
I drive a 2002 Civic Si ive heard that when you compress the piston in the calliper, it has to be turned and compressed? Why wouldnt I just use my piston pusher-in tool?
Basically is there anything special about depressing the rear calliper piston on a 2002 Civic Si? Or is it EXACTLY like changing the fronts? Thanks

That´s right.

Because the piston has to be turned?
You can use a large screwdriver to turn the piston, that´s what I did.

No.
Which way does it get turned, and what type of screw driver ( flat head or phillips head?)? Does Turning it compress it at the same time, or can you manually turn and compress the piston? Do You turn it several rotations and then press it in? Which direction do you turn it? Thanks for the help and that answer back!
IIRC you need to turn it clock wise, this will push back the piston at the same time. No idea how many rotations it takes, you´ll know when it´s enough when you do it. I used a large flat head screwdriver. That´s about it.
Please be careful when working on your brake system. If you feel uncomfortable about doing it on your own, let someone with enough experience work on your brakes.
