Default Fender Well Question ('04 DX)

Hello-
While I was washing and waxing my car this weekend I noticed that in the front wheel wells, there is no cover to protect water from getting into the engine bay via the wheel wells. I know most cars have some sort of a plastic mold to prevent water from getting in the engine bay and I was curious if all EM2's came like this.

I can take a few pictures later to help give you an idea of what I'm talking about, but I'm sure someone here may all ready know what I'm referring to.

Thanks in advance!

If you could take a picture of your wheelwells I'd gladly tell you if you're missing something. There are a couple holes where water can reach the engine bay easily, even with the fender liner, but I just want to make sure.

I will take some pics and post them up later when I get off work, but mine is more of a 1ft width by 1.5 ft heigth gap exposing more the rear of the engine (intake side). It kind of looks like there should be something there b/c there are (IIRC) 3 or 4 1/4" holes on the lower side of the wheel wells where it looks like a piece could bolt to and cover up the gap.

Yeah, it sounds as if you're missing the fender liner.

Stupid dealership...My car didn't even come with floor mats! I'll take some pics later to be sure, but I'll go ahead and start looking for a set of fender liners.

Thanks for the help Matt!

Well, you'd need item #3 or #6 (don't know which side is which, because I don't know from what perspective that they're looking at the car) on this diagram.

And, they don't even list item #3 for some reason.
