Default a new look at the valve cover

stripped the paint off of the valve cover to bare aluminum and painted the spark plug wire cover graphite.

better coat it with some clear, or it's going to get pretty nasty-looking pretty soon with corrosion.

Aluminum doesn't tarnish but it does oxidize (known as rust when in question of iron). Funny thing though, Aluminum oxide is actually harder than aluminum and therefore stronger. Sorry for the random info, I'm studying for a chem test.

i'd recommend clear coating as well. it looks good now but won't for very long.

Ever seen what bare aluminum does when left exposed to the weather? It gets like these white powdery spots all over it and looks terrible.

Get some clear on it, or you'll be sorry.

Its fairly expensive, but probably the best stuff for bare aluminum. Ofcourse clear anodizing is good too.....but its a much more complex process to do it properly.

i stripped mine also, but never came out as good as that.....now its primered sanded down dont know what color to paint it.
