What engine are you running...also...sound varies from person to person...i've met people who love their exhaust to sound like a alarm...there are tons of threads about this though...just dont go to big with whatever piping you do...because then no back pressure...also if you are just getting the car...please dont be one of those who i change the exhaust and the headers man so now it goes fast...read up on it...search...and you will find your answer...good luck
alright thnx, i dont know much about this, im hardly 16 so im not sure realy what im doing and my dad isnt a tuner car freak, he likes his muscle cars and thats all he has. i have lots of experience working with cars, but never on a overseas car.
i want a deep sorda loud rumble, not one that will make it like a lawnmore or anything.
or can anyone list the manufactures that make them i found a few, like skunk, aem, and a apexi. im not sure if there is more, thats all google gave me

Cat stands for Catalytic converter "i hope thats spelt right"...if you look at your exhuast you have coming out of your exhaust ports "by your engine" your exhaust manifold...or headers for some...then they should connect to a downpipe...this goes until about the mid/front of your car...then it reaches a canister...that is your cat...cat back is the part behind it...and even smaller is your axle back...thats were it mounts before you muffler...make sure you get a resinator or else you will have a whiny exhaust sound...since you are new i reccomend how stuff works.com...here is a link for the cat... http://www.howstuffworks.com/c...r.htm...good luck

a catback is just like any other exhaust just without a header. It's everything from the catalitic converter back.
