Default cruise control

im replacing the cruise button on my steerin wheel. (96 gsr). in the repair manual it says remove cover over button, but tahts it. doesnt say how. i dont wanna break it, anyone know how that guy comes off?

It just pops off, use a small flathead screwdriver. I thought there was a phillips head screw that held it on and then you popped it off, but maybe thats on something else.

isn't there 2 screws holding the buttons on? i don't remember if there was a cover over it or not, but if there is, just pry it out with a flathead.

yeah i got it, the cover just prys out, and there are two screws.

heres another question tho:

in my repair manual it doesnt show or say anything about there being 2 different style swtiches. i mean the switches are identical, except for the plug on the back. i just bougth another one, and the plug is different. the one that actually came on my car, doesnt match the one in the repair manual.
