well if you don't research then it seems like a good deal.... until you put it on and the oil seals blow and the manifold blows up.

some people have actually had good results with the ebay turbo kits. its hit or miss. personally i wouldn't take the chance; thats a lot of money to throw away if everything goes to ****.
phish4709,
the lack of research is obvious if you're considering an ebay turbo kit and you're asking whether or not its a good idea.
seriously, for the sake of headaches, do some research on turbo kits and what/how each component works.
trust me, a turbo kit doesn't consist of a million and one pieces, but it can feel like it if you don't know what you're buying.
when going turbo, you could lose more than you can gain.

ebay kits lack a lot of quality control which is why they are so cheap. so it is hit or miss, you can chance blowing the turboa nd manifold and only spend like 800 or spend like 1500-2500 on a good kit and have it last as long as your car...asssuming you tke care of it and tune it correctly.
go for it i just bought that same kit like 2 wks ago fast shipping and nice parts one thing though i havent put it on yet i had a friend who had one for a week and the turbo went out ordered just another turbo hasnt failed yet so yeah its hit or miss but overall nice products

So let me see if I understand this correctly: your friend had a turbo last for one week and is willing to say that it is good quality stuff? He's a great customer, easily pleased.

the problem i think is that people don't know what a turbo kit consists of and would rather take the easy route of buying a kit than to research and pick out parts.
nor do they want to spend $3000 on a "good" turbo kit from drag, greddy, and others.
im sure if someone offered a decent kit for around $1500, they could find themself a really good business. seems to me like there is a strong demand for turbo kits.
another thing someone could compile is a list of different setups (by budget and by power) into a thread and with links to where the parts are sold.
this may seem like a stupid idea; succombing to such noobness, but this would help me a great deal and probably many others as well.
i really would like to turbocharge my car but i really need to be told where and what to buy, or just a kit for the sake of convenience.
this may or may not cut down on these ssautochrome threads, but it's a start.
