Default HELP PLEASEE!!!! im stumped...

Mini me swapped....

D15B7 Block.
D16Z6 head.
D16Z6 Timing Belt.
D15B7 Intake. Mani
D16Z6 Exhaust. Mani

My car is only running on 3 cylinders...sounds like a WRX. head gasket isnt leaking. compression is good. Injectors are all fine. BRAND NEW PLUGS across the board(Change 4 times already)

Cylinders 1,2 and 3 are perfect. Cylinder 4 is the messed up one. i can pull hte plug wire off and it'll run the same.

i pulled the head back off today. the piston on cyl. 4 is CLEAN AS A ****!

yeah...so i re-assemble the motor.

set the block at TDC and head at TDC.

then i read up somewhere someone said to set the block 16 degree's BTDC so i did.

still runs the same/

distributor is new. cap is new. rotor is new.....everything is good just running on 3 cylinders......

Check your wiring. Sounds like the injector is not receiving a signal.

IF you say you pull off the plug and still the same maybe its your ignition, because you didnt say if that wire plug you pulled off had spark on it or not, if it doesntt change the wire.....hope that helps

I pulled plug wire.

Theres spark goin to the plug. i put a plug on the wire. spark goes through the plug.

Injector sprays. i even swapped out to a spare set of GSR injectors i had.

Compression is good across the board.

New distributor.

new cap new button everything is new...

i dont get my car.

make sure the firing order on the plug wires is good and the injectors are on the correct cylinders, the injector order by color is brown, red, blue, yellow, from the timing belt towards the trans. these are the signal wires not the power wires

Firing order

1-3-4-2

Injectors are in perfect order to.

firing order can be in the right order, but not clocked properly on the dist.

u have ,ignition, spark, but u need air to lite up the mixture.....maybe bad valve(loosing compression) or need valve adjustment,

What were the compression numbers in each cylinder? What were the leakdown percentages for each cylinder?

When you want it shiny, nothing compares to a good steam cleaning. Sounds like a "Coolant leak on Isle 4"... P.S. What were the compression and leakdown numbers for each cylinder?

I should also mention this: If the compression and leakdown numbers are OK, you could still induce coolant into the #4 cylinder around the intake manifold gasket if the head/manifold/gasket combination is mis-matched... Something to think about.

what a bummer...i checked my coolant and there was none... i pulled the head back off again today. gasket looks fine(Metal) all the gaskets look good. but i dont know whats goin on. i brought the head to the machine shop they said the head is fine and the valves seat properly..... maybe something just doesnt want me to go minime.... i guess it's time to throw that B18B with the S4C tranny i got in my hold wrecked hatch.... that was the origonal plan but i kinda liked the SOHC.

try taking out the #4 spark plug and swappin it with lik cylinder 1 and see if you still have the misfire in cylinder 4. could be a cracked insulator on the plug. i had it happen to me, take the plug out and it had spark but when it was in the engine it wouldnt fire. changed the plug and all is good now. hope this helps
