I just got finished putting back the crossmember and the lower half of the exhaust mainifold. Then I found this piece on the floor. Does anyone know where this goes? I have a 91 integ.

Damn! Will I have exhaust leaks if thats not installed? If I need it back on, where does the groove side face? The other side is flat.

 

Yes you will have leaks if you don't put it back on. As for which way it has to face... I'm not sure but it may only go one way? flat surface to flat side of exhaust and groove to groove maybe. Someone else with more knowledge may know.
