b16 problems in a EG hatch
Just installed a JDM b16a2 into my 1994 DX hatchback. Using a chipped p72 ECU, GSR distributor, and obd1 GSR wiring harness. The swap went in smoothly and easily, then start the car up and its running all wierd and hesitant. I tried a bunch of things that i was sure it could be; distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, even the coil on the inside of the distributor. Tried re-routing my map sensor making sure it was all fine, and it was routed the same as my friends eg swap. Driving the car feels like crap, hesitant and sputters alot if anyone has any suggestions it would be great. Thanks in advanced.
i did a compression test on it... 1,2 and 4 cylinders are all around 210 compression, cylinder 3 didnt read anything for compression which is sweet so im assuming thats why it was running like ***.
well the fact that one cylinder isn't reading any compression isn't sweet.
Your engine is running off of 3 cylinders, no wonder you are getting those
symptoms.

When ur driving does it kinda sound like a subaru? Cus i had kinda the same problem and when i would drive it it would sound like a subaru. kinda funny but no. The problem was that the injector on cylinder #3 was bad. So try replacing the injector in the cylinder. See what happens.
