ok, here's basicly what happens, start driving in 1st of course, accel to 2nd and then shift in to 3rd, but instead of the normal feeling I get it feels like the stick has entered some domain where it shouldn't be, my gears still engage with the clutch but the stick is stiff and feels like it's able to go further forward than it should be. The only way to get it to act normal again is to slam it hard in to 4th and it'll act normal again.

I brought the car home and put it in the air. Pushed the clutch in and run through all the gears including reverse and it acts normal, so I put it in neutral and release the clutch, I can hear the clutch engage with the engine and it spins the portion attatched to the clutch, I disengage the clutch and I go straight to 5th and the stick sinks forward and sticks like it did before, I slam it in to 4th and it stops sticking.

There's only one thing I can think of that's causing this, but I want reassurance that nothing else could possibly cause this problem.

2000 Accord w/ 95 JDM H22A and 99 USDM 5 spd transmission.

edit: oh and sry dont know what it could be. but my '06 5spd coupe accord wont let me shift into reverse sometimes, random times, too often to be ok wit it.

ill take it in soon, did it from day 1 and its 33k later still same ish. (1yr)

 

It's with the synchros for not shifting into reverse

1-5 has synchros and R does not, you should prime it before going into it by going in and out of 4th

( learned that the other week)

 

mine did that till it got continually worse, to the point where it wouldn't go into gear at all. but all i had to do was add clutch fluid

Also GM Synchromesh is your best friend - use that I'm about to pick up a bottle of it myself

 

2nd the GM synchromesh fluid....also, check the linkage, make sure nothing is binding, but i doubt thats your problem since it doesnt happen all the time, just under certain conditions.
