Tein S-tech + Koni yellows > Megan. Both cost about the same too.
Megan is taiwan manufactured. They are meant to be budget coilovers and what I like to call 'throw-aways', because they can't be rebuilt.

Why?
Koni's are so much a superior shock that it isn't funny. And shocks mean a lot when it comes to a good handlng car. More than folks realize.
The Megan dampers are horrible. You ever seen a dyno sheet for them?

My freind has a set on his 2.5rs and theyre jsut fine. What exactly is bad about the megans?. All ive heard is good things until now.
Personally i favor k-sports.
But for the price id consider getting megans. What about the rest of their parts?.. I jsut ordered a megan racing camber kit the other day.
?
What is you guys opinon on the D2 coilovers?

Define "just fine". What is this subjective to? Has anyone done the back-to-back testing? I've driven a set of Megans, along with a whole lot of other setups. This is why I'm saying a Tein S-tech + Koni yellow combo will provide a superior handing car to the Megans.
Hang out on non-tech boards like clubRSX and they'll sing the praises of the Megans all day because:
1) They are cheap
2) They provide a lof of lowering adjustment
3) Coilover bling
However, that alone does not make a good coilover. Any company can design a shock that does this. Its what's inside the shock that counts, and that's where the Megan fails.
They are not rebuildable and the valving sucks. Megan's market is the guy who wants to slam his car and say that he's doing so with coilovers. I never had a great opinion of the Tein SS and Basics until Megan came along...at least the Teins put some kind of R&D into their setup.

Hey, just to let you know, megan and lower line apexi uses the same factory in taiwan, hit up s2ki.com for more deail.
I stop listening when you mention about s-tech.
sorry but most of the lower line tein stuff is just not worth the money
not really sure it's true for the RSX but megan reverse engineered(or in ghetto term, they copied) their s2k coilover from Buddyclub

So you're telling me that a Nissan Sentra and a 350Z will be equal as well just because they come out of the same factory? Not quite the same, but you get the point. And who said Apex'i made good suspension in the first place?
You ever looked at the springrate on the S-Techs for the RSX? If not, do so. They are a perfect match for the chassis and perfect lowering to boot. Seriously, don't bag something until you research it. The Tein S-Techs are head and shoulders above the rest of the aftermarket springs out there (as far as performance is concerned) for this chassis because of the rates and drop.
And yes, I said I don't like the Tein Basic or the SS. See my above post. I also said the Megans were on the same level or lower.
I don't know why it isn't apparant to everyone, but you get what you pay for in terms of coilovers. If they are cheap there is a reason.

the megan coilovers are solid in all respects.......my friend has them in his 03 type-s and they offer a very comfortable ride and he is slammed at the lowest setting with 18 inch rims... come on people stop commenting on them if you have never actually had them in your car or driven in a car with megan coilovers and just because they are manufactured in Taiwan doesn't make them any less credible....personally I think they kick *** over Tein ss or buddy club coilovers.

Megan's are fine. I bought them for an upgrade, and a cheap way to get weight savings and adjustability for drag racing. They serve their purpose nicely.
They should not be compared to expensive coil-overs, but work way better than stock for aggressive driving.

i have to say you guys should really listen to Todd00 on this. I have ridden in a car with the megans, and they do feel like a nice suspension setup. They offer quite a bit of adjustability which is a definite plus. What people do not know is how these coilovers will hold up. Konis have been tested strong for years, and have proven to be a solid shock with a lifetime warranty. If you are going to sepnd the money on coilovers, why not do just that SPEND THE MONEY!
everyone hates on taiwan why?? so much stuff is made there..it's like the new japan..
and fyi the megan racing coilovers are rebuildable...i work like a few blocks away from there us office.
