Why doesnt this work....
I am by far not a noob---I have always wondered why you need a collector on a header? I always thought it would be cool lookin to have "race exhaust" that was 4 pipes that were just the primaries extended all the way to the back of the car as 4 individual tubes. Is there some property that a collector provides that makes power? is it for 02 sensors?

seriously. the collector is there w/ an o2 sensor to get a reading on all 4 cylinders.

arent their ecu's that have individual cylinder trim control?
i thought the collectors help scavange the cylinder exhaust pulses
