Oil leak. wheres it coming from??
i cant tell where this leak is coming from, its a real slow leak. its all around the oil pan, so it almost looks like the pan gasket is bad, but i can see the leak from the top, so im not sure, it looks like its below the head. well anyways heres some pictures, maybe someone will have seen something like it before. and its a b18b1 from a 95 se with 130xxx miles on it.

thanks.

thanks.
the picture didnt work for me.. But i would fix the top leak first, and clean the motor off, and see if it still lookin wet down on the oil pan area, Sence it can run down there and make it look like its leakin there.
From the tranny side it appears to be the oil pan gasket, what does the drivers side of the engine look like? Any oil on the upper side of the engine/block?
in the front it looks the same, i cant really see the back and a lot of the drivers side. i cant really see anything oil above where it is pictured. on the bottom it looks pretty evenly spred out. i wiped it all down when i changed the oil last week and i still dont have any oil on the bottom of the pan, so its a real slow leak. could it be the main seal? its got about 35xxx miles on a new clutch from the honda dealership, do they replace the main seal when the do the clutch?
Its most likely the oil pan gasket. The rear main seal would be leaking by the clutch/tranny and it would drip out the bottom of the metal plate there bewteen the engine/trans....obviously not what this is. They probably didnt replace the rear main seal (they aren't really known for leaking)....if they did, then they would've let you know/charged you for it.

i had the same problem recently and changed my oil pan gasket and still the same thing happened. what had happened was i removed the valve cover to adjust valve lash and forgot to put gasket maker/sealer on the corners of the seals. when i did that it went away. so check all the simple things first. i noticed you said it was coming from the bottom of the head. i also saw some antifreeze in the top pic at the bottom left corner. check your head gasket too. hope you find the prob.

that antifreeze has been there for a while i need to wipe it off, i filled it up a little while ago. it doesnt look like the valve cover because its real low on the block, ill change the pan gasket first then if its still like that ill switch out the valve cover gasket (it was done pretty recently)
I think the point with questioning other stuff is that the oil pan has that lip on it and if oil is leaking (even from behind the timing belt covers) it will drip down and as soon as it hits the lip on the oil pan it runs all the way around. Thus, its very important to make sure there are no leaks further up the line that could be causing it. Oil pan gaskets are fairly common leaks, so its most likely that. We just want to make sure that you get it fixed the first time.
