ANSWER ASAP Blown Shock?
ok so since i lowered my car with the tein S techs instead of Skunk 2 coilovers
everything has been fine
untill today.
i noticed my left rear tired was extremely slammed it was really low prolly a 2.6 drop compared to the others which are 1.5.
when i push on the rear to make that size move it bounces quite a bit but when i do it to the o ther side it doesnt.
this will suck if it is blown..

Sounds like it is blown to me... Have you driven it since? Noises? Ride height/quality?
What happens when a shock blows, is that the seals that seal the piston in it's cylinder go out, allowing the shock absorber oil to leak out, thereby having no damping power at all. Hence, the MUCH lower ride height, and possibly noise and ride quality.
Think of it as piston rings going out in the motor... you lose compression, and therefore, lose power.

yea i checked and there is fluid from the shock all over.
THIS SUCKS!
it droped by .5 " too
now i just have to remmber where i put my warranty card...

For those that do not know:
From my experience, this is the BASIC setup of how a shock is on the inside... VERY BASIC... And ignore my crude Adobe Photoshop painting skills too.

When the green seals wear out and leak, the piston inside the shock body have noting to push against, therefore making the shock lose it's dampening capabilities... Like I said before, it is just like wearing piston rings in the engine.
Hope that helps.
And for the record...
See the holes in the piston "disc" itself? On adjustable shocks, that is what actually gets bigger or smaller inside the shock that gives the shock it's adjustability.
Larger hole in the piston: Softer dampening
Smaller hole in the piston: Stiffer dampening.

Yeah you should be able to do it w/o a warranty card, they come with a lifetime warranty as long as you don't lower your car below 1.5" and they will inspect it (i warrantied one of my shocks as well)

KYB's are pretty good, gr-2's ride similar to tokico blue's but like them, they are not for tracking or autox, just for daily driving... while kyb agx's are adjustable and can be used for performance but not as good as koni yellows
