changing dash bulbs on a 1994 accord ex
Are you refering to the bluish/green bulbs that light the cluster from the back, or the regular bulbs that light the face of the guage and needles from the front? Also are all of the lights out or just one? Are you sure it's not a blown fuse?
They are currently functioning fine. What I want to do is get rid of the stock "greenish color" bulbs that illuminte the cluster i.e. tach and speedometer and replace them with white bulbs. I appreciate the response!
can't just replace the bulb, the one you have now is oem yellowish white, the light is filter thru a tinted transparent plate/fim.
unless you get rid of the green film, it will not be white

they are all differently mounted, for my gen, they use a plastic insert that you could remove, some switches are painted with transparent tint, etc.
you can't be sure until you crack it open.
for painted tint, use brake clearner to wipe off the color.
but becareful tho', the insert/tint helps to spread the light evenly

The bulbs are located on the back of the guage cluster near the top...you must take it out in order to change the lighting. It's a little bit of work to get all of that stuff out of there to get the cluster out.
