OEM made brakes are fine are they real honda ones?

Yes from the dealer. came in Honda pachaging.
Ive reterned the first set, put on the second set, and same thing. Shaking at high speeds when braking.
I didnt beat on the rotors, just light braking....

Are you dragging them maybe?
Are you sure it's the brakes, what "proof" do you have they are warping other then the shaking, just wondering why they keep doing that, makes me wonder if something else is the culprit.

No they are not dragging.
what else could it be ? The steering vibrates badly when braking at 60 mph !
It didnt happen before ...

Just braking? And exactly when did it start?

just under braking . I dont feel it while braking at slow speeds, but when I drive on the highway at 40-60 mph, I hit the brakes and my wheel starts vibrating badly ! I also hear some thumping noises too.

i'm a wee stumped and I should know it off top of my head, how are all the bushings trailing arms forks all that gadetry and how is your aligement?
steering box?
i'm tired and not thinking toooo well but trying.

I dunno. Im gonna take it to the mechanic to check out the front suspension and stuff. This is on my 1990 civic si

I am kinda out of ideas other then have all that stuff checked out and confirmed your rotors are really warped as well.

I would check the radius rod bushing in the front and check the calipers themselves the pins could be worn and the caliper could be rocking slightly. you might want to consider some new/rebuild calipers they are cheap like $25 for re-man ones
i work for a dealer and when we put new rotors on any customer vehicle we cut them first... they warp from sitting on the shelfs... same with Autozone and every other rotor... in my cars i run Autozone Rotors take them to work cut them and buy Stock Honda Pads...

There is no air ventilization on the OEM brake rotors to cool down. Therefore, the rotors will warp faster than the cross drilled rotors. Not only the cross drilled will prevent from warping fast, it enhances better braking performances.
If you are interested, R1Concepts sells brake parts for great prices. Oem front/rear rotors for Civic and CRX starts from $80 and cross drilled and slotted starts from $115. All of the cross drilled/slotted rotors are silver ZINC platted in which will prevent from warping faster than the oems.

R1 carries Oem, Economy Line (cross drilled/slotted), Premium Line (double drilled and single slots), and silver, gold, black zinc plate rotors.

Quit trying to sell him **** he does not need. Stock rotors are absolutly fine for daily driving or track days. The only issue is that there is not enough surface area to dissipate heat, so the brakes start to fade. If your rotors keep warping, its because you probably rode the brakes over a long period of time (60-0), then held the brakes. This heats up the rotors nice and hot, and then the pad material literally melts to the rotor in one spot, causing that lumpy rotor we call "warped". If you dont believe me, read this: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_i...shtml
As for the cross drilled\slotted rotors, they are useless. Yes, they dissipate heat a little better, but they crack often and cost an assload to get turned. I saw a brand new Z06 at a track event (comes stock with cross drilled rotors), and the rotors were already starting to crack between the holes. Why do you think F1 cars use solid disks?
As for your problem, change your braking habbits. If you are hard on the brakes or ride them, and then hold the brake pedal while you are stopped, the rotors will "warp". If your on a hill, use your e-brake, its what I do.

another thing to look into...
Are your wheels covered in the brown HP+ dust almost immediately after you've just cleaned them?
Do you hear dragging noise when you are going slow or rolling the car by hand?
You could need to rebuild (or replace) the calipers if they are not retracting enough...that could lead to lots of heat.

Ya. Im gonna have to take the car in to really see what the problem is.
I hate old cars.

I've run Brembo Blanks on my '91 CRX Si with Hawk HP+ pads for years with no issues. DO NOT go for slotted or cross-drilled, they will warp easier (been there done that).
Sounds like your calipers are starting to seize (very common).

i just got my car back yesterday and i am running Hawk HPS pads and powerslot rotors, they seem to work very efficiently the only problem im having is that there is a slight rubbing noise when i am driving and it gets louder when i turn right, i have a feeling its the balljoints which i am going to replace anyway
