i have a 92 gsr , in the car is a b18b block w/ b17a1 head
im gonna put on my 95 gsr b18c1 head thats lying at my house , here is my questions.............

-i dont know what computer is in the car, but it looks small? will that computer work if i put the b18c1 head on ?

-what headgasket set do i use ? 95 gsr headgasket set?

-will the fuel rail & injectors from the b17a1 head fit on the 95 gsr b18c1 head?

Why are you swapping heads?

 

the b17 head has worn seals , and internal damage , so im jus gonna put the 95 gsr head on cuz its lying around at my house........if it was busted i would just keep it on and sell the 95 head....but nah ...

 

Take the ECU out and read the code on the side, being that its "small" its probably a JDM ECU (most likely a P30, maybe a PR3). It would be wise to bust it open and see if its chipped or not.

A 95 GSR headgasket will work fine and the B17 injectors and fuel rail will bolt up to the GSR intake manifold just fine, however the B17 IM will not bolt up to the GSR head.

 

k ill try n look @ the ecu later on today......i dont think its chipped because when i bought the car the guy said, "u should get a chipped compuer , blah blah blah" so yea.....

-i had a feeling that the b17 i.m didnt fit w/ the b18c1head , but i have a 95 manifold anyways so i was gonnna slap it on ...........Thanks for the help!!
