Default how to correctly set up front and rear strut bars???

i have tanabe front and rear strut bars. one of the ends of the strut is reverse threaded so once the bars are installed you make the ends push out or pull in. so my question is once you have the bars on do you want to losen them there for pushing on the top hats or tighten them there for pulling on the top hats. it seems like you would want them pulling but im not sure thanks for the help. sorry if this is a dumb question.

When you corner, the inside strut tower will try to push inwards so you want the bars pushing outwards to counteract this force.
