Default hr springs help 2002 civic 4dr

I installed hr lowering springs the back went fine but I can't get the front to stay. When I turn the wheel the springs move. They make popping noises and completely throw off my alignment. When I turn right the car will pull hard to the right when I exit the turn. Same with the left. I was told the springs weren't sitting right But I have checked them twice with no luck. Any ideas?

your top mount bearings are either broken, or not there.

either go to a local mechanic to get them or order them from honda.

I thought the same thing. I removed the bearings cleaned them and regreased them. The car only has 40,000 and was well taken care of. Could they still be bad? It spun ok not great with the spring pressure on it. But freely when I had the springs off it.

my car is doing the same thing. There was some hydraulic fluid all over the passenger shock. I have stock shocks and springs in it too. I just ordered some tokico blues and tein h-techs. I figured that'd fix it....

kinda worried now though.

if by aligning them you mean take the car down to get it aligned no. But if you mean make sure the spring is fully pushed up against the notch in the bottom plate then yes. I think the spring has to much pressure on the top bearings for them to move properly. The spring is more or less twisting and compressing and decompressing than moving. If that makes an sense. I don't think it is physically moving on that bottom plate.

H&R's gave me quite a bit of sag in the rear when I had them on my 4-door.

Isn't that a bit of a general problem with the sedan? I'm sure i've heard that before.

yeah they seam lower in the back. What size rims do you have I'm about to see if I can get some 17's to fit right without to much rubbing. As for the springs I am going to buy new bearings for the top mount hopefully it will do the trick.
