breaking in fully built h22 questtion..
hey guys wuts up this is a great site just reading other peoples build's... i sent out my h22a1 block to get darton sleeves and its coming back on monday hopefully and i was just wondering once i have it installed with my pistons and rods i have to give it like 2-5000 kms to break in (according to the mechanic) im going to have my turbo connected but not running until i break in the motor should i tune it for turbo right away or let it break in for 5000 kms or wutever and do i have to tune once i have this motor on and again once i put on my turbo setup so i have to pay for tuning twice??
i'd tune it right away. theres a link about how to break in a motor using 0 weight oil non detergent. run it hard, dont beat on it. if i find the link ill post it.

I've seen a number of new engines start seating rings immediately when being tuned after the installation. 500 - 1000 miles is usually plenty of mileage for breaking in a built Honda engine with new rings and a fresh hone.
