Default eg owners?

Sup guys. I asked this in the appearance section but wasn't getting too clear of an answer so thought I ask it here to you guys. Anyways so I own a 95 coupe (mostly stock)and I'm looking forward to changing the side skirt to something a little more aggrassive(sp?) Anyways I don't really like the aftermarket side skirt kits, only one I kinda like is the buddy club? BUT instead I like to go with something like a the 96-00 civic's skirts. So question is, is all the 96-00 coupe/hatch side skirts all the same sizes? What about the CTR side skirts as well? Anyways thanks and let me know. I know I have to do a little cutting to make it fit but just don't know if all of them are the same in size(thickness?). TIA

(hmotors) $100+s&h? for a set of CTR is that a decent price? Well it fit?

OEM is good too but I'm looking at getting a lip kit as well as rear kit so I need something a little more bigger/thicker/aggrassive to match with the kits. Still somewhat new, what's "FTW" thanks though.

They are not the same size, but they ARE a possible option. There's quite a few writeups on here that will guide you through the process. As for the CTR skirts, they're a waste of money. Same thing as the coupe skirts but painted...thats it.

I would tell you to search around, but i'll be a helpful samaritan tonight and try to find them for you... Sit tight brotha...i'll link you in a few minutes.

FTW is "For the Win!" meaning like...."thats the ****! haha". I personally think its gay, but hey...to each his own.

EDIT: Here ya go man...enjoy and good luck! In my opinion its a KILLER modification to an EG Civic, and looks beautiful when done correctly. You can find these sides very cheap and you'll have HIGH chances of finding them in a junkyard too. I believe the four door ones are different from the coupes but hopefully it'll explain that further in this link..

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=142946

Again...good luck brotha!

first off, there's no eg coupe, if need help understanding that see my sig

second, all 6th gen sideskirts are the same length, so any will work on your coupe, the four door is a little more flared at the front though...they don't have to be cut and will match some of the clips on the car stock, it's definately no a ghetto rig modification

thirdly, don't buy the CTR sides, they're the same thing as the other 6th gen sides, so it's not worth the extra cash

fourth, stick to OEM, not only does it generally look better, but the fitment is better and will ultimately make your car look better too

This man speaks the truth about the sideskirts!

Also...your sig is awesome! You're like.."look in my sig to understand". I look in your sig and it says big as hell...

THERE IS NO EG COUPE!. Kinda settles that, haha.

mugen "styles" are fine i guess. i have a pair on my sedan (EG8). the neg is a lot of people think its ugly and they hang low. my car isnt even lowered and it sometimes scrapes due to living in san francisco -__-'. i was also up in the presidio "gripping" with a friend and i guess my car swung too much and actually scraped the skirt during a turn. its a hassle if you ask me but hey! its always about what you as an individual like =D

You probably know this already but I feel like restating it due to the fact that you had to be an *** about it.

People generally refer to all civics 92-95 as an EG model and all 96-98's as the EK. Though you are correct, the EG is only a coupe, it's easier than saying EJ1. Everything is the same except for the body - which shouldn't matter here because it's a tech forum.

no, uninformed people refer to 5th gen's as "EG" models

and saying EJ1 isn't harder than saying EG coupe, as you can see EJ1 is 3 characters as opposed to 7 characters in EG coupe

and there alot of things different than the body, but i won't litter this thread trying to prove that to you...

and don't even act all royal on me, i've seen plenty of your other posts, and they don't exhibit much knowledge about Hondas

back on topic please

Act royal? It's an internet forum. I'm not trying to "act royal" to anybody. I don't give a expletive what you think of my other posts. Harassing somebody about calling a 92-95 coupe a "EG coupe" is ******* ridiculous.

i'm not harassing, it's called education, I'd rather be correct than incorrect

and there was no 92 coupe either

so should we all learn each individual chassis code, cuz hell, i know a few, but would rather use the "universal" codes that are more widely recognized, like EF, EG, EK, ED, why worry about the specific year and trim if it doesnt matter, and if you're gonna break it down you gotta atleast recognize the EH2, the best "EG" ever built, LOL.

no, the owner/OP should look at the vin tag, if you wanna refer to chassis codes to explain a car, at least do it correctly, how hard is it to look at your vin number?

i gotcha, but what for, i mean, everyone knows what someone means when they say "eg" nomatter what it is, its a 92-95 civic. just didnt see the point in making it a big deal.

not a big problem, just gets old when you see a car like yours constantly stereotyped into something it's not

im not to big on body kits and such but for some reason this kind of catches my eye

http://www.jpusaco.com/product...id=68

it dosent mess up the natural curves of the car just extends them

but thats just my opinon and i'ld rather have the body stockanyways
