Default Removing O2 sensor : 90 accord

My sons car is going thru a lot of gas so Im guessing the O2 sensor. How do you go about removing it? TIA

you can spray some PB Blaster at the threads, and keep it wet for an hour or so to let it soak in
Use a good O2 sensor socket.
some people swear by, warming up the manifold a little before removing the sensor.
This sounds like an expensive way to tune up a car?
What makes you believe the O2 sensor has problems?

Well, it just started getting harder on gas that last two days, and with other vehicles I am familiar with this is usually where to look? Any other suggestions?
