probably something u didnt know about hit your car causing it to alarm like a ball or something. could be wind also, or a car with exhaust rolled by. hasnt happened to me. only time it went off with my LX is when i unlocked the door from the outside through my window. i was like o0o i have an alarm lol.

but im pretty sure the dealer told me that there isnt any motion sensors. so i have no idea.

My first thought was "why don't you walk down and try opening it while the alarm is on?"

i did and its not vibration active meaning no sound system or wind or a hit on the body panel will cause it to triger nor attempting to open the handle . so it must be one of those alarms that only set off when you break a glass or somthing but i dont notice any damges on my car .....

well the factory ones dont have any motion or shock sensors... the only way it can be set off is if the doors hood or trunk is opened while armed. They could break your window, climb in and jack all ur **** and ull never know, if you really wanna protect it you gotta go aftermarket, tomorrow ill be doing a Python 881xp with tilt sensor, shock sensor, window modules, backup siren and remote start. Will probable take all day since were gonna do it right and hide everything so far up the cars ***, lol.

aftermarket alarms > factory alarms.. they have more sensors to protect you... factory alarm simply goes off if door is open while armed.. thats it. with aftermarket you can get a tilt sensor so if someone tries to jack ur car up to steal ur wheels it will go off, has shock sensor if someone hits the car, you can get a motion sensor, you can get all sorts of sensors, and it locks/unlocks ur door so you dont even need ur keyfob for that anymore.

so i wont need my key or what? and yes i know aftermarket alarms have certain things but i didnt knew factory alarms just triger when alarm is set and someone opens.... surely it must have someting else??? and this isnt my case because i mean what could of set it off at 4:15 am today? car was locked so that means someone tryied to steal it but i see no attempt of even opeing my door or anything of forcing my car or any damges.... any more thoughts i apricate thanks

is the facotry alarm an optional? or are you guys talking about the keyless entry? keyless entrys will set an alarm if you lock it with and someone opens it (from the inside obviously) are you sure you just didnt roll onton the panic button?

You still need ur key to turn the car on/off, just wont need to press lock/unlock on the fob. Audio systems / exhausts can set off an aftermarket alarm if the shock sensor is too sensitive, in that case, turn it down a little.
