Default question about my 02 type s " SIDE AIRBAG OFF" indicator

Any one know where the side airbag off sensor is located in the passanger seat???
mine keeps turning on everyonce in a while and then turns back off when i go over a bump or something. and if
somebody sits on the passanger seat it doesn't come on.... anyone else have had
this prob???? think the sensor might be loose or someithng...

thanks

only time mine comes on is when someone leans on the outside of the seat. i.e. someone leaning out the window or something or the sort. So im guessing the sensor is in the side of the seat?..where that little plastic peice of **** is.

Correct me if im wrong.

this happened to me when i took my passenger seat out for the track.
put it back in then the light comes on
i don't exactly remember how to take it off, my friend did it for me.
he used a special paperclip of some sort
search on clubrsx first then make a thread.
you'll have a better chance getting an answer there

the light is supposed to come on when like someone is sitting in the seat and leans over against the door the light comes on then and every so often when i go over a bump for some stupid reason. but its a safety feature so if you have a wreck the passenger wont be as hurt if he or she is against the door when the airbags deploy. that's what my owners Manuel said
