Sand it first, be sure to clean them good, thinner or w/e. and paint.

First of all rushing the time the paint takes to dry is not recomended becasue your will only be drying the surface layer and nothing gets done right in a rush!

Now second use a fine grit sand paper and lightly scuff up the molding so the paint will adhere to the surfece better. Now use a degreaser to remove all contaminents and particles that would ruine your paint job. If possible use a type of plastic primer but if not go ahead and do several light coats untily you are happy with the outcome. Wait an hour or so for the mouldings to dry now apply several layers of clear coat.

Hope this helped
